During a church youth retreat, the exasperated worship leader Elise struggles with the balance between the spiritual discipline and practical considerations of musical worship. After an accident around the campfire, Elise begins to reconsider the attitude she’s taken.
Thea Loo is an emerging film producer and director who holds a BFA in Film Production from Simon Fraser University. Thea’s most recently produced short film “No More Parties” (Dir. Natalie Murao) premiered at the San Diego Asian Film Festival and was created with the funding support of the National Film Board of Canada. “No More Parties” will represent Canadian talent as it takes part in the Telefilm Not Short On Talent program at the Clermont-Ferrand Film Market in France. She is currently in production for her short documentary which is focused on patterns of trauma affecting immigrant Filipino families and will premiere online in June with Voices With Impact. This year she was accepted to participate in the yearlong Reelworld Producers Program, a mentorship for developing racially diverse Canadian producers.
